Senior QA Manual Test Engineer
Gorilla Logic is looking for a Senior QA Manual Test Engineer, who will work with a team of software developers to assess software quality through manual testing. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm and determination.
Responsibilities:
*Create and execute detailed test cases that define specific steps for testing.
*Document defects thoroughly, including detailed information for developers to aid in debugging and resolution when actual results deviate from expected outcomes.
*Conduct regression testing to ensure that application updates do not introduce new issues and that the software remains stable.
*Perform exploratory testing to identify unexpected issues, usability problems, and areas not covered in formal test cases using domain knowledge and creativity.
*Conduct usability testing to evaluate the software’s user-friendliness and overall user experience, providing feedback to product owners for potential improvements.
*Collaborate with product owners to understand software requirements.
*Work closely with technical writers to ensure documentation is clear and accurate.
*Partner with support engineers to diagnose and resolve production issues related to applications within your testing responsibility.
*Other duties as required.
Technical Requirements
*Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and / or; 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various testing techniques, including black-box and white-box testing.
*Strong critical thinking skills for assessing risks and identifying potential software improvements.
*Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools Experienced on Windows or Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android
Bonus Skills
*Experience configuring large-scale applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
*Experience with automation frameworks like Cypress IO and Appium.
*Proficiency with Xcode on macOS for running various phone emulators.
*Skilled in using Android Studio to capture application logs for debugging.
